Model History
From 1976 to 1988, the Porsche 924 was produced as a joint development between Volkswagen and Porsche. It is noteworthy that the 924 was the first Porsche car with a water-cooled front-mounted engine and transaxle drive. This was available in various engine configurations from 2.0 l to 2.5 l, with power ratings ranging from 125 hp to 210 hp. As the entry-level model in the Porsche world, the 924 achieved great popularity and fans all over the world. By 1988, almost 151,000 units had been produced.
