1970 PORSCHE 914
Yellow with Black/Yellow houndstooth interior and Black Carpeting, 1.7 liter Flat 4 cylinder air cooled engine, 5-speed side shift gearbox.
Jointly developed by Porsche and Volkswagen and built by VW, the Porsche 914 was the first mass-market mid-engine sports car. All 914s were equipped with a one-piece lift-off Targa roof. The standard engine through 1973 was the air-cooled, 1.7-liter flat-four from the Volkswagen Type 4 (411/412 models), paired with a five-speed manual transmission. The 914 became one of Porsche’s most successful sports cars, with about 115,000 four-cylinder models made.
