Porsche 912
Highlights
- Long wheel base
- Original color burgundy red
- Matching
Originally delivered in the US in 1969, this is the Long Wheel Base (LWB) version. A total of 36,316 Porsche 912s were produced, of which only 3,913 LWB models were made in 1969—making it very rare.
The car was brought to the Netherlands as early as 1992. The previous owner had it for almost 15 years!
Delivered in Burgundy Red (color code 68008). The car has been repainted. The paintwork is somewhat aged but still looks stunning.
A solid car that has never been welded!
To improve reliability, the ignition system has been replaced with an electronic ignition, and Weber carburetors have been installed.
The engine is matching numbers with the car. Engine code: 4995325. The engine runs very well. It sweats a little oil, but this is within the normal range for an air-cooled Porsche.
Original mileage: 92,675 miles.
The driver’s seat and dashboard show some wear due to age. In our opinion, they are still too nice to restore.
Already appraised at €50,000 in 2018. The current appraisal value is likely much higher!
A lot of history comes with the car, including the original Dutch yellow registration certificate, all Dutch inspection documents, three appraisal reports, maintenance invoices, and an odometer report.
