Technically, everything is in good order. We drove about 300 km with the car last year, and apart from the slightly oily engine, nothing else stood out. For optimal driving pleasure, we would definitely recommend installing an 1840 engine. So, very close to the original, with great characteristics, but with increased power to around 120-130 hp. Fantastic torque and perfect for the short wheelbase, much more exciting and lively than a heavy six-cylinder, in our opinion. The engine is built with all original components. Apart from the air filters, which are needed because of the funnels, there is almost no visual difference to the standard version. But this is not a must. You can also seal the current engine and have fun with it.
The technical pictures show that work has been carried out on the vehicle in the past. The underbody was painted, and there is still a small rust hole in the area of the front right wheel arch that has not been welded shut. Philosophy question! For us, this is part of the story – but if desired, the hole can of course be professionally repaired. We would leave it as it is.
Some parts of the interior were replaced in 2013 because some were broken and unusable. Many things, such as the dashboard, were too new and did not match the exterior appearance at all. The owner then swapped this for a "good used" one to maintain authenticity. The rubber seals on the windows and some other body seals were replaced with new ones.
The paint is already very thin in many places, and has sunk through in some places. In other places, there are some repaints (e.g., the front hood and the fenders). We have created a paint measurement report.
The buyer can decide at their own discretion what work needs to be done on this vehicle.
