Porsche began their “special order program” offering a Flachbau option (Slantnose) for the 930 in very limited production. It included a more aerodynamic nose, retractable headlights, boxed rockers extended, and vents ahead of the rear wheels. All of this at a cost of nearly 2 times the standard 930S. There were very few “special wish” cars ever built.
This Porsche is one of 34 of the very rare 930S models built in 1984. As a European spec S model, this Turbo was optioned with the following from the factory. The very desirable factory 930 “S” performance kit which includes a 330 hp engine, larger intercooler, quad-tip exhaust and special front spoiler with build in oil cooler. Additional factory options include additional instrumentation on the center console, Gold Porsche crests on the steering wheel and shifter knob, adjustable boost control knob fitted in leather to match the interior, digital boost gauge and Gold BBS wheels.
Originally imported to the USA by Porsche of Scottsdale, it was federalized by well-known California Porsche tuner, Alan Johnson Racing. This “Special Wishes” Turbo S enjoyed a charmed life initially being held in ownership by a trust and stored in a climate-controlled storage facility for 30 years before trading to its second owner. Traded to Autosport Designs and serviced by us, it was subsequently sold to its third and most recent owner. This 930 Turbo S cared for when and where needed and regardless of mileage to keep in top collector ownership.
This is a rare opportunity to own one of the very first 930S special wish cars. Included is its Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, Porsche factory documentation for the special wishes slantnose, tool kit, original BBS wheel cards and service history. This Porsche 930S is ready for immediate use and certainly a special Porsche with investment opportunity.
