Unveiled in 1975, the Porsche Type 930 featured sculpted bodywork, wide Fuchs alloy wheels, a whale tail spoiler, and a potent turbocharged six-cylinder engine. Achieving 0–60 mph in less than six seconds and a 155 mph top speed, the 930 set performance benchmarks for other sports car manufacturers to beat. Updated throughout production, the 930 was pulled from the US in 1980 due to tightening emission regulations, but remained available elsewhere.
This Porsche 930 is one of 840 Rest of World examples built for the 1980 model year. Delivered new in Germany, this 930 was finished in paint-to-sample Platinum Metallic, a period Volkswagen Scirocco color, over a black leather interior, and optioned with sport seats, electric sunroof, and black headliner. The 930 was restored in 2023 by the multiple concours-award-winning shop StreetWorks Exotics of Pewaukee, Wisconsin. It was stripped to bare metal, refinished, and fitted with a new windshield, along with various exterior moldings, seals, and gaskets. The interior was reupholstered and Porsche specialist Joe’s Garage in Glendale, Wisconsin, rebuilt the 930’s four-speed gearbox and 3.3-liter engine, including a head stud upgrade. The suspension and braking systems were also refreshed.
The 930 is supplied with a spare, jack, air compressor, and restoration receipts. Still capable of keeping up with many more modern sports cars today, this gorgeous 930 awaits its next owner.
