Despite being introduced one decade earlier, buyers were still clamoring for Porsche’s 911 Turbo in 1985. With its flat six-cylinder engine now upgraded to 3.3-litres, the Turbo was just as even more exciting to drive as it was a decade earlier, thanks to the 40 bhp bump in performance that the enlarged engine provided. From a standstill, the 911 Turbo could hit 100 km/h in five seconds, screaming onwards towards a top speed of nearly 260 km/h.
Delivered new to its native Germany, this 911 Turbo was produced for the 1985 model year and originally finished in Black over a matching Black leather interior. According to an accompanying Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, it was optioned with electronically adjustable sport seats, an electric sliding sunroof, an alarm, Pirelli tyres, and a higher amperage battery.
Its original Porsche Touring Pass shows that it was delivered to its first owner in Hannover on May 20, 1985. While not much is known about its life early life, the car has remained in Spain with the consignor for the past several years. Invoices are on file from 2017 showing an engine rebuild with invoices totaling over €10,000. Today, it presents in largely original condition, still sporting its original and highly desirable colour scheme, and would be an excellent example to drive and enjoy.
