We present one of these highlights here.
It is a 1973 Porsche 911T 2.4 from the last original 911 series with K-Jetronic.
Towards the end of this series, the US models were fitted with a future-oriented K-Jetronic instead of the mechanical injection system or instead of carburettors, which, in addition to an excellent engine character with very good performance development, also resulted in significantly lower fuel consumption and emissions.
The engine output was 140 hp for the USA compared to the rest of the world models, which only had 130 hp with carburetors.
The history of this extraordinary vehicle is fully documented.
The Porsche was delivered to its first owner Mr. Deck in Colorado in August 1973. (An excerpt of the documentation and the many invoices can also be found in this advertisement).
This drove the car about 18,000 miles for 2 years.
From 1975 to 1979 the Porsche was then in the hands of Mr. Kercher in Colorado and was moved about 15,000 miles in these 4 years.
From 1979 to 1980 the car was then with Mr. Blake, also in Colorado. He then sold it to Mr. Alden of Ohio.
When Mr. Alden then passed the 30-year-old Porsche on to the next owner, Mr. Bolles from Florida, in 2003, the car had only run 49,000 miles.
Mr. Bolles moved the good piece another 2,000 miles in two years.
The next owner, Mr. Strub from North Carolina, only drove about 1,000 miles a year, so that when the car was bought and imported to Germany in 2009, it had only done a total of 55,000 miles.
Since it was imported to Germany, the car has only been driven around, approx. 5,000 miles in 12 years. Current odometer reading is approximately 60,500 miles.
The car has been regularly serviced and maintained throughout its existence despite little use. All work is documented and traceable by a large number of invoices. This Porsche is in perfect technical condition, apart from regular maintenance, no work is evident.
What makes this Porsche so unique, in addition to its low mileage, its seamlessly documented history and its very good technical condition, is its very good, largely untouched original condition.
The car has not had any accidents or corrosion, the entire body is untouched and perfectly preserved.
Even the paintwork is largely original, only a few areas have been repainted and only show slightly increased paintwork thicknesses.
The entire interior is in its original condition and has almost no signs of wear. There is only a small spot on the driver's seat upholstery, which was skillfully patched with needle and thread so that it is hardly noticeable. Nevertheless, the owner at the time was able to obtain the material for the repair from old Porsche stocks and put it in the car. Replacing the original fabric was never an option for him or us.
All in all, this Porsche 911 is a very well-preserved original that is hard to find in this quality. And despite the largely original but well-maintained technology, the car is ready to drive without restrictions and offers the driving experience of a year-old car.
Anyone who loves originality in high quality and still expects maximum driving pleasure should accept this Porsche.
