Since the restoration, the Porsche has been driven 15,000 kilometers. It runs very smoothly and the gears of the 5-speed manual transmission can be engaged easily and smoothly. The gap dimensions are excellent and speak for the excellent restoration.
The last appraisal from 2015 gives the car a market value of 120,000.00 euros. A more recent report would be significantly higher today.

History of the series
The first 911 was presented to the public on September 11, 1963, as a so-called original model, at the IAA in Frankfurt with a 2-liter six-cylinder boxer engine. Originally, the new Porsche was named after its internal project name – 901. This led to various discussions with the Peugeot company, so that from October 1964 the car was renamed 911, which is now known worldwide.
In 1969, the displacement of all engines was increased from 1991 cc to 2195 cc (2.2 liters). Two years later there was a further increase in displacement to 2341 cc (2.4 liters).
The performance of the engines increased accordingly, so that the top model, the 911 S, now had 140 kW (190 hp) on the road. When the engine was enlarged in 1971, in addition to standardizing the four-speed gearbox, an oil filler flap was installed behind the passenger door. This is how the so-called “oil flap model” was created this model year.
The oil flap was initially not very popular, as they often ended up in the workshop with engine damage after they were purchased new. Many customers intuitively filled up with petrol into the oil filler neck in the rear fender. Unfortunately, this often causes the lubricating film to break off, resulting in major engine damage. Despite the initial difficulties, almost 10,000 oil flaps were sold. Today this model series enjoys great popularity.
