This SC appeared in 2013 in an untouched and long-forgotten state in an auction house near Munich. According to the consignor, the vehicle was in first-hand accident-free condition at the time of the auction. We can confirm this statement without a doubt. The odometer reading at that time is 80592km. A short Classic Data report helps to find the current value and documents the condition of the vehicle at the time. A classic car specialist buys this Targa in March 2013 for 14,300 euros and then starts refurbishing it. Maintaining the original condition plays a crucial role during the entire restart. All body parts were dismantled and refurbished. The entire outer body was blasted dry ice and repainted only because of the visual appearance. The special feature: The interior, trunk, engine compartment and vehicle underbody are still in the first paint and are in the same condition as ex works. Even the black protective coating applied at the factory in the trunk is still there. This underlines the great condition of the vehicle and is recorded in extensive invoice and picture documentation. The sheet metal quality was then as it is today, no body work had to be carried out.
This Targa used to be owned by a doctor. Equipped with chopping knife rims and delivered by a Porsche dealer in Passau on March 7th, 1979, documented in the maintenance pass. The original Hackmesser rims have been refurbished and are also part of the vehicle, like the Fuchs rims, which were mounted on the vehicle for purely aesthetic reasons.
