For sale on behalf of a customer. Porsche 911 S 2.2 liter 180 hp.

Extensive restoration work was carried out on this very beautiful F model from 1992 to 1994. The bodywork components were dismantled/taken apart and the bodywork was blasted, primed and completely repainted. The paintwork is very well done and meets German standard expectations. As part of the overhaul, the brake system on the front and rear axles was overhauled, various door and window seals were replaced and extensive corrosion protection measures (underbody/cavity protection sealing) were carried out.

The vehicle in detail

Furthermore, the lighting system/electrics were modified to German specifications using the original cable harness, and an emergency stop switch was installed in the glove compartment. The interior was partially renewed, and the seats were replaced with BF Tourino sports seats. The rear seats were completely removed.

In 1998, a complete engine overhaul was carried out by RUF Automobile GmbH / manufacturer and Porsche specialist in Pfaffenhausen, and all wearing parts were replaced. An original invoice from Ruf for 15,700 DM is available.

In January and February 2015, both heat exchangers (heating) were replaced and a major inspection was carried out. The engine shaft seal on the timing belt drive of the injection pump and the timing belt of the injection pump as well as the V-belts were replaced.

The wheel bearing play, handbrake and valves were also adjusted.
In 2018, the mechanical injection pump (MFI) was overhauled and adjusted by Dr.-Ing. Fritzsche – Oldtimer Technik. The six-piston injection pump was first dismantled down to the last screw, cleaned and all individual parts were carefully checked for wear or damage. After assembly, the pump was adjusted from scratch with high precision (halved tolerance) according to the manufacturer's specifications in order to ensure the engine runs perfectly.
The historic sports car is in a very neat, above-average condition and true to the original, with all of the equipment functioning properly. All add-on parts, including doors and hoods, have a precise appearance in terms of the gap dimensions.

A valuation report from 2018 certifies that the car has a condition rating of 2+ and a replacement value of €175,000.

This beautiful 2.2 l F model impresses with its sporty appearance. After being imported from the USA, the car was converted very professionally and with great sensitivity to be as befits an original 911 model.

During the restoration, the core principles of the Porsche brand were consistently taken into account: lightweight construction and sportiness.

By omitting the rear seats, the chrome sills and installing the RS door panels, the weight was reduced and the car was also subtly lowered. The engine overhaul at Ruf, including the revision of the injection pump, ensures sufficient power and gives the car a sensational driving experience.
