Porsche 911 S
Highlights
- First paint
- Very good restoration base
- European delivery
This 911S from 1968 has little history, however its serial number (119301236) is that of a new car delivered in Europe. It has however passed through the United States in his life since it was re-imported from the bottom by one of the previous owners. It should be noted that the current Carte Grise contains an error, indicating a first registration in 1968, while serial number 119 indicates a 1969.
The blood orange color is the original one. The alignments are good, the paint is correct in quality. Note the beginning of corrosion on the ARD wing and the AVD wing. Quick couplers were installed on the front and rear hoods. On the other hand the basements of the car are not in good condition. Following a bridge check, there is a relatively high corrosion of the underbody: front tank, front cross member, rear side members. The floors had been redone by the current owner.
The interior is in good condition, the upholstery is clean, the seats are modern replicas of the vintage Recaro. The car had previously been equipped with a roll bar (which is available unassembled with the car). A battery switch is installed in place of the ashtray. The car is equipped with a Motolita steering wheel.
In mechanics, this 911 works properly, without abnormal noise, smoke or visual anomaly. A revision will be made for sale. The engine number corresponds to the chassis number (Porsche France email confirming it). Gearbox and clutch are in good working order.
According to us this car is either a good base for restoration or a car to ride in the state, while regularly monitoring the evolution of the bases.
