The 1968 911S was never sold officially in the United States due to emission regulations. These cars were only produced in limited numbers for the European markets and are extremely rare to come to market.
Only 1267 S Coupes were ever produced for the model run.
1968 also marks the last run of the short wheel base 911 model, which among collectors are sought after for their purity in style and concept.
Our car on offer has been fully restored in Germany in 2011 and finished in its original exterior color of Light Ivory (code 6804) over black hounds tooth interior this extremely rare car looks fantastic.
The car is 100% numbers matching as confirmed by a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and as such, a true blue chip collectable 911. Very few miles on the completely rebuilt and numbers matching engine.
The 2.0l engine was carried over from the 1967S producing a very healthy 160hp making these cars a blast to drive and listen to!
A very rare car indeed, this particular example has not been driven much after restoration completion. A thorough appraisal for the vehicle by a German professional is available on request.
