The vehicle in detail

Already in 1972, Porsche used the 72’ “ölklappe” to build their race cars to participate in Corsica Rallye and this example features a 72’ “ölklappe” body for its stunning imitation of the Porsche 2.8 RSR (VIN: 9112500686).

With a weight of aprrox. 935kg, this car makes sure to give the driver an unforgettable experience as well with the flat-six racing sound coming from the engine.

This car has seen the most of Europe, as it has been used primarily for driving through the landscapes and mountains of the southern Europe, which is what the car was made for. It is a well known and admired car in the Danish Porsche community with a real enthusiast as owner.

The car have always been kept dry and well serviced by experienced Porsche shop Schönemann Automobiler in Denmark, who has a long history of maintaining early model Porsche race cars. Latest service was done in 2021, with the engine completely rebuilt and it has only covered 8000 km since.

The car features a stunning racing cockpit with a strict focus on performance and lightweight optimization and together with its reupholstered Sparco seats and 6-point seatbelt, the driver needs only to focus on the road and enjoy the car and sound.

In front, the car is fitted with a 90L racing fuel cell to tackle longer distances as well as a Wabasto fuel heating system to keep you going in the mountains. The engine is cooled by the front mounted oilcooler in the center of the car.

The engine is a 3.0 liters base, fitted with larger cylinders (100mm) and a stroke of 70.4 mm, making the engine 3315ccm3, with approx. 320HP around 8000-8200 RPM. It features the honey-colored fiberglass engine shroud like the racing cars from the 70’s and is fueled with the MFI (Mechanical fuel injection) system from Bosch. All power is delivered through the reinforced 915 transmission with limited slip differential.

An absolutely unique imitation of the Porsche 2.8 RSR race car. Whether you are into racing, trackdays, mountain roads or local cars’n’coffee meet ups, this car will be sure to bring it for you.
