Porsche 911 E

Porsche 911 E

Targa, 1971

Highlights

  • “S” specification engine
  • Completely restored!
  • Nice color combination!

The model presented is a 1971 2.2 E originally developing 155hp, I say originally because during the complete restoration of the car which lasted from 2018 to 2020, the engine was upgraded to “S” specifications, i.e. 180hp.

The compressions have been taken, the ticket is attached to the photos This 911 has been used very little since its restoration and is in perfect condition. She has a very complete file. The Targa models of the 911s of this generation are still the most sought after, they have an undeniable playful aspect, the color of this very 70’s model gives it a little something extra. It’s high time you had fun driving an icon of the automobile…

The vehicle in detail

With the launch of the Targa models, Porsche was responding to the increased safety requirements for open vehicles in the USA.

Thanks to the fixed roll bar, the occupants were protected in the event of a rollover.

The old 2.0 liter engines entered their last year of construction with the 1969 AM and were replaced by new 2.2 liter engines.

The L version was renamed, with the change of engine generation, to be called 911 E and developed from 140 to 165 hp.
