Finished in the desirable “Roughroads” Rallye Design Package finish
A modern homage to the legendary Porsche wins in the Paris-Dakar. In 1984 the Porsche (953) 911 Carrera 3.2 with four wheel drive won the event outright and 2 years later the 959 followed up with another win. It was decided by Porsche to celebrate this victory with the production of the 992 Dakar. The resulting car was a genuine dual purpose model received with universal acclaim for it’s capabilities both on and off-road.
A modified 3.0L twin turbo engine produced 473 bhp, the chassis was height raised by 80 mm, stainless steel skid plates were fitted from the front spoiler to the rear diffuser, special off-road tyres were developed and the plastic front bonnet and wings reinforced with carbon fibre.
Already a classic and enormous fun to drive both on and off-road and an exciting, but remarkably versatile, addition to any Porsche collection.
