The first year of the “G” series body, 1974 was a major turning point in 911 development. A strengthened chassis, impact bumpers and the new “short hood” look combined with the RS’ flared fenders, wider wheels and iconic ducktail gave the Carrera a more athletic personality without detracting from the car’s famous profile. For 1975, an optional “Whaletail” rear spoiler was available replacing the previous year’s “Ducktail” as well as color coded headlamp rings replacing the chrome. Paired with the 911 S’ 175HP K-Jetronic fuel injected engine, the Carrera could achieve 0-60mph in 6.5 seconds and topped out at 142mph giving it the performance to match its racy personality.
This Carrera 2.7 has previous long-term ownership in California and has been exceptionally serviced throughout.
