This 1988 Porsche 911 Cabriolet was sold new in New York State, but has lived in the Western Washington area since 1991. Finished in an appealing spec of white over a Burgundy leather interior, the car shows 167,575 miles at the time of cataloging and is an extremely eye-catching example. The white exterior is highlighted by a factory-ordered set of white-center Fuchs forged wheels that give the car an outstanding 1980s aesthetic – especially when paired with the whale tail rear spoiler.
On the interior, Porsche’s classic deep bolstered sport seats have been specified up front, which also feature electric adjustment. This car remains largely stock, but does benefit from the addition of a Porsche Classic stereo head unit which is the gold standard for upgraded Porsche infotainment and gives all the modern features in a classic looking package.
Powering the 1988 Carrera is a 3.2-liter air-cooled flat-6 that produces 217 horsepower and 195 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent through a sought after G50 5-speed manual gearbox to the rear wheels via a factory specced limited slip differential. The slick shifting gearbox comes with a factory short shifter and offers extremely satisfying throws and makes this 911 a joy to toss around. We have been servicing this car at Dobson Stuttgart since late 2022 and over the last 3,000 miles, we have carried out numerous services to ensure the car is running and driving fantastically.
