The vehicle in detail

For the 1974 model year, the body design of the Porsche 911 was extensively revised for the first time. The most striking feature of this 911 generation are higher bumpers with black plastic bellows, which gave the G model its nickname “bellows Porsche”. The higher bumpers of the G models were a result of stricter registration regulations in the USA, which prevented damage to the body in an impact of at least 8 km/h.
From 1984 to 1989, approximately 76,473 911 Carrera 3.2 liters were produced, of which 35,670 were coupés.
