1995 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupé by RWB
The Porsche 911 is a car that lends itself to personalisation, and over the course of its 50-year lifespan has drawn some of the world’s most creative and gifted automotive tuners. Among them is Akira Nakai, a former drift racer whose passion for Porsche’s most iconic sportscar has resulted in a series of immensely desirable wide-body variants styled by his Japan-based firm, RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB for short, or “Rough World Concept” in English). Characterised by their flared arches, enormous wings, low ride height and purposeful stance, his creations are as wild as they are coveted.

The vehicle in detail

Converted by Akira Nakai of RAUH-Welt BEGRIFF (RWB) in December 2016 – Refinished in Mexico Blue over a black leather and Alcantara interior – Unique paintwork by Japanese street artist RoamCouch – Powered by a 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine with a six-speed manual gearbox – Features a distinctive wide body, typical of designs by RWB
This example—dubbed “Hideyoshi,” after the 16th Century Japanese Samurai, Toyotomi Hideyoshi—began life in Stuttgart on 19 January 1995, configured as a Carrera Coupé with a 3.6-litre flat-six engine.

Originally finished in Iris Blue Metallic over a Grey and Blue leather interior, the Porsche spent its early life in the United States. It remained with its first owner until 2005, having been based in Ohio and Florida, and in 2006 moved to Maryland with its second owner. While in their care, the car was involved in a minor collision suffering damage to the front end, as stated in an accompanying CARFAX report. In 2016, the Porsche was acquired by a collector in the United Arab Emirates and was exported from Los Angeles in October of that year.
Once in Dubai, the car was subject to a complete cosmetic refresh by RWB, during which it was stripped to a bare shell and resprayed in Mexico Blue. It was subsequently fitted with a new black leather and Alcantara interior, and in June 2021 the blistered coachwork was augmented with a stencilled depiction of Toyotomi Hideyoshi by acclaimed Japanese street artist RoamCouch. In October 2021, the 911 was serviced by Alex Renner Motors Garage LLC of Dubai at a cost of 5,605 AED. The engine oil and filter, fuel filter, pollen filter and spark plugs were all refreshed, while the engine’s belts were also replaced.
A spectacular creation with a swagger all its own, this special Porsche 911 is an intoxicating blend of German engineering and vibrant Japanese street culture that will draw admiring glances wherever it goes.
