This Porsche was delivered to the USA as a 964 Carrera 2 and rebuilt by Porsche specialist Axel von Blittersdorff according to the customer's wishes in great detail, elaborately and without compromise as a homage to the F-model 911 S/T. In addition to the very extensive bodywork – for example, the front with a long hood was recreated in detail – the engine and transmission were completely overhauled and, of course, a completely new chassis was installed. With sharper camshafts and a sports exhaust system, the engine has a measured output of 300 hp and an incomparable sound. Truly unbelievable!
To achieve a retro look even in the engine compartment, an electric air conditioning system was installed in the front. From the windshield washer nozzles to the original F-model carpet, everything is perfect down to the smallest detail. The entire restoration took a full six years, and the hours of work were recorded. A verifiable €350,000 was invested in the conversion, €280,000 of which went to the work by AvB alone. A very thick folder contains the entire history. This car is certainly an absolutely exceptional vehicle in its perfection, its appearance, its driving characteristics and its sound. And it looks particularly harmonious in simple slate gray. If the color looks familiar, you should think of the film “Le Mans”. Both Steve McQueen’s film car and his private 911S were painted this very stylish color.
