Upgrades included RSR steel front and rear fenders, RSR fiberglass front and rear bumpers, factory RS ducktail, factory Fuchs RSR alloy wheels, front strut support, European headlights, and factory dated 1973 Plastic RS fuel tank. The front and rear RSR flares were butt-welded by RS Motors, with RSR reinforcements to correct RSR specification and the bodywork was done by Esposito Porsche Restoration in North Hollywood. Upon RSR bodywork completion, the RSR was painted in its original Viper Green by Kundensport. Interior upgrades included a new Ivory headliner, German carpets, lightweight door panels, door handles, lightweight carpeting, and Recaro style sport seats.
The upgraded RS spec 2.7 Liter Flat 6 was built by ANDIAL Racing on a 1971 Magnesium 911E case. The engine was disassembled, inspected, and detailed by Valley European. The 915 5-speed gearbox is a magnesium case with a limited-slip differential that has been disassembled, checked, cleaned, and is running with stock ratio gears. MKS Performance installed new front shocks, rear coil-overs, reinforcements to the rear coil-over mounting points, front suspension strut reinforcements and alloy RS front calipers. The RSR was then sent to California Porsche Restoration (CPR) for final assembly. After completion, it was sent to Swiss Motors in Culver City to be fully dialed in.
After many years and well over $150,000 spent, not including the donor 911T, the best materials and Porsche specialists were utilized to turn the 911T into a superb RSR. Driven just 3,500 Miles since being completed, this RSR is exceptional in every way. Recently and while in our ownership, this was used and enjoyed on the 2021 Copperstate 1000 rally/tour and never missed a beat. This RSR is ready for immediate use and enjoyment.
