Porsche 911 R “BP WORLD RECORD”
The 911 R was the hardcore lightweight 911 in ’67 – ’68 of which only 23 cars were ever produced. This car is a replica to BP race car, based on a ’72 911 (long wheel base).
The original 911 R BP car was used to break multiple records at that time:
- 15.000 (!) km at an average speed of 210.22km/h
- 72hours at an average speed of 209.94 km/h
- 10.000 miles at an average 210.28km/h
- 20.000 km in 96 hours; at an average speed of 209.23km/h
