This car retains the original rare Sportomatic (type 925/15) gearbox with which it was supplied. This low mileage car is a very usable example which starts without hesitation and performs superbly with no smoke, unwanted noises or oil leaks of any kind, as you would expect having covered just 71,000 miles in total and having had a complete engine re-build back in 1987 with an accompanying invoice for £2,674.28. With only a handful of past owners and various invoices on file, the car has obviously been well maintained and importantly shows no signs of corrosion or other unwanted issues. One of the most recent owners enjoyed the car for 33 years and only decided to sell due to his advancing years. More recently the car has benefitted from a full repaint in its original colour, a major service including all valve clearances adjusted, the sportomatic gearbox has been setup correctly, new fuel pump, and many other improvements leaving the car in fine fettle and ready for a new owner. Currently running on 16″ Fuchs with matching Continental tyres all round. The electric windows all work well, oil pressure is good, brakes pull up sufficiently and straight and the targa roof fits well with little wind noise and is in great condition. Overall a healthy and well maintained 911 with the charm of the earlier cars but without the price tag!
