Before the revision, the body had a very good substance (unwelded, accident-free and corrosion-free) and thus formed an optimal starting point for a high-quality restoration.
The following work was carried out:
- Body fully ice blasted
- Body stripped all around using glass bead/plastic blasting
- paintwork
General overhaul engine/transmission:
engine
This 911 was delivered from the factory with the 165 hp engine variant, while the 911S, the sports version at the time, already had 175 hp.
Since the "small" 911 tended to overheat, Porsche installed an oil cooler in the front right fender in the 911S to achieve better cooling of the engine.
This 911 was converted to the technology of the 911S as part of the general overhaul:
- Mahle piston and cylinder set from the 911S
- Oil cooler from the 911S
- Renewal of all components such as pistons, piston rings, connecting rods, connecting rod bearings, crankshaft bearings, bearing shells, seals and much more.
