Porsche 911 Targa is always a highlight.
When the Targa was unveiled at the IAA in September 1965, the media were all over it.
To this day, it remains one of the most popular forms of the 911.
In the first 2 years, until after the factory vacations in 1967, Porsche did not yet deliver the Targa with the glass rear window, but with a folding window, similar to a convertible: thus a “softwindow”.
Nowadays these rare softwindows are very popular, because of the softwindow it is a similar nice driving as a convertible, because back then Porsche enthusiasts had to wait until the 80s to get their beloved 911 as a convertible.
This Porsche 911 Softwindow was ordered and sold to Michael Piech. It was delivered to his estate in Pörtschach in Austria, The Targa, has been restored and is one of those original softwindows and even has matching numbers and matching colours.
The beautiful interior features sports seats, wooden steering wheel and the classic green instruments.
The Blaupunt Frankfurt radio plays matching music as you seek the curves with this rare softwindow.
Referring to Porsche`s advertising slogan is on, in and with this 911 “Every curve a pleasure”.
Convince yourself, place your bid and enjoy the coming summer.
