The vehicle in detail

In 2000 the car came to Doctor Armin Zumtobel in Austria. He built the Porsche for historic motorsport without any compromises, because he only had one thing in mind: winning! The racing car was completed in 2001 and competed in Mugello for the first time. Even though he had to give way to the competition there, the duo won all the remaining races of the season.
And so it went on for the following years. In 2001, 2002 and 2004, Dr. Zumtobel ran the GT class in the historic touring car championship until 1965. In 2004 he became FIA European sports car champion with victories at the Nürburgring, Grand Prix track & Nordschleife, in Hockenheim, Oschersleben, Monza, Mugello, Imola, Zolder, at the Sachsenring, Lausitzring and at the Österreichring.
Because Mr. Dr. Zumtobel has now won everything there is to win with this Porsche, a new driver was able to prove himself in it. The vehicle came back to Germany in 2017. The owner, who himself used the car in historic races, was looking for a suitable early 911 at the time.

All previous owners have been documented since delivery. The query of the units revealed that both the engine and transmission are still “matching numbers”.
In 2017 the FIA papers were renewed and are valid until December 31, 2028.
A full German inspection has already been carried out and an H certificate has been prepared, so that the current version of the car has already received road approval.
Just like back then, this 911 is ready for immediate use, with an overhauled gearbox and the gearbox from Manfred Rugen, a friend of Dr. Zumtobel – built engine.
Road approval and an H classic car report have also already been carried out in Germany. Other original documents and certificates as well as the registration papers and racing certificates are part of this unique vehicle. Due to the valid FIA HTP (Historic Technical Passport), which was last updated in 2017, the car can be used directly – the possibilities are diverse.
Conclusion: This Porsche 911 with chassis number 300727 with a successful racing history is already a witness to Porsche history due to its early chassis number and is therefore already a sought-after collector's item. As a racing vehicle with street approval for historic races and of course for the circuit, this example also meets the requirements of ambitious drivers who want to continue the success story of Zumtobel and Röhrl.
“Engine legends: Buy a Porsche with a good feeling.”
The car was first registered on March 31, 1965 in the Stuttgart area to the first owner.
The documentation from the previous owners is understandable. The car remained in Germany with a total of three known owners until 2000 and was then owned by Dr. until 2017. Zumtobel.
The vehicle has been owned by the current owner in Munich since 2017.
