Porsche 906 Carrera 6

Rudi Lins was confronted with the automobile phenomenon at a young age. His father ran an authorised Volkswagen workshop in Bludenz and was one of the first Porsche dealers in Austria. Lins himself trained as a master motor vehicle mechanic and began a career in motorsport in the mid-1960s. He financed his first racing commitments through his parents’ business. In 1965 he became the Austrian sports car champion in a Porsche 356. His big goal was to race a Porsche 906.
