The car is presented in a beautiful restored condition in the desirable combination of Bali Blue over Blue leatherette and square weaved carpet.

Recently Historika have undertaken service work of the car and most recently re-commissioned the brakes and running gear to ensure the car is driving exactly as it should be.

Much of the early history of the car has been lost but we do know that back in the early 2000s the car was part of Wilfried Dauphin’s collection, housed in a museum near Nuremburg. Mr Dauphin owns a wine estate, Allée Bleue, near Franschhoek and has bought many classics in SA, and this Carrera was one of those cars.

After importing the car to South Africa Mr Dauphin sold the car and it has since moved between and number of South African collections then in 2019 the currect owner imported the car into the UK with all taxes paid.

Overall this Carrera 2 is presented in excellent condition and drives exactly as a Carrera 2 with the 587/1 engine should do and is ready for the next custodian to enjoy on the road or on touring events.
