The vehicle was fully restored from the bare body shell in Germany a few years ago and is in excellent condition. The perfectly matched chrome parts contrast beautifully with the ruby red color (Porsche color number 7002). The black folding top is made from high-quality Sonnenland Classic top fabric and works perfectly and smoothly. The open roof can be covered with a tarpaulin also made from Sonnenland Classic top fabric.
The seats, dashboard cover and door linings are upholstered in the best black leather and not with the much cheaper artificial leatherette. The practically wrinkle-free processing of the natural material leather is impressive. It is obvious that a very good master saddler worked here. The black carpet is made from the correct and expensive hair yarn bouclé, edged in black and neatly laid. It fits!
The roadster dashboard captivates with its flowing simplicity and perfect paintwork. The instruments with the historical green numbers, framed by chrome rings, are beautiful and work perfectly. The three-spoke aluminum steering wheel with the characteristic thin black rim has the optional horn ring, which Porsche charged extra for back in 1961.
The completely overhauled engine produces 90 hp, which makes the 850 kg roadster amazingly sporty to drive – and lets you discover the secret of the Porsche 356. The 4-speed manual transmission also works excellently. During the restoration, many parts of the wheel suspension, steering and braking system were restored or renewed to as new condition. The car drives perfectly and has wonderful handling. Whether you are driving towards the sunset on a winding country road or picking up a bread roll on a Sunday morning, you will enjoy every kilometer with this Porsche 356 B Roadster.
