This car was first delivered to AMAG AG in Switzerland before being registered for the first time on November 22, 1962. No documentation is available about its time in Switzerland. What is known is that the vehicle was subsequently exported to California and given a different engine. Photos from the time in California are included in the documentation folder to confirm this. The number of previous owners during this time is unknown.
In 1997, the car found its way back to Germany through Ande and was registered in Düsseldorf until 1998. In the same year, it changed hands and was initially only serviced, although the new owner had a clear idea of what the restoration work should consist of. Various welding jobs were carried out on the underbody, the headliner was replaced (including insulation), and the car received a completely new paint job in its original silver metallic color. Up until 2011, it only covered approximately 7,000 km.
2011 a buyer from Munich then acquired this Porsche. He had the engine and transmission overhauled in 2013 under the supervision of Ande at Classic Power in Schorndorf. In addition, the entire exterior bodywork was again overhauled and repainted. There is very detailed photographic documentation of the work carried out. The quality of the work speaks for itself. The condition today is exactly the same as when it was delivered in 2013. But even he has only driven the car around 6,000 km to date. Thanks to consistently impeccable maintenance, this vehicle, with a relatively low mileage of around 98,000 km, is in very good technical condition today and is waiting to be worked on.
