Model history
The Porsche 356 B, introduced in 1959, was adapted to the requirements of the American market with the new T5 body. Bumpers and headlights were positioned higher, and the interior received lower seats and a new steering wheel. The T6 body followed in 1961 with larger windows, two engine ventilation grilles and a side fuel cap in the fender. These updates improved both the design and the practicality of the 356 B. The 356 Hardtop Coupé is a particularly rare body shape of the 356 B, which was only produced by Karmann for a short period of time.
