History of the series
Porsche revised the Porsche 356 A and produced the new 356 B (T5) series from 1959. The performance spectrum began with the 356 B 1600 and 60 hp and ended with 140 hp in the 356 B 2000 GS Carrera 2. The difference between the 356 B and the previous model is, among other things, the 10 cm higher positioned front bumper with enlarged rim flanges and higher headlights.
In addition to the front indicators, there are flatter horn grilles, each with two chrome-plated slats. Another feature is the front hood handle, which is wider towards the bottom than its predecessor. The license plate lighting was also integrated into the rear bumper and the reversing light was installed below the rear bumper. From September 1961 (T6) revisions were added, such as a front hood that was widened towards the bottom and a fuel cap integrated into the front right fender. Furthermore, two vertically arranged air grilles were integrated into the enlarged hood.
The vehicle is located in our showroom in Stuttgart-Plieningen, near the airport/trade fair. A test drive including a viewing on stage is possible by arrangement.
The sale takes place with a new inspection, customer service and TÜV upon request. We also offer you a wide range of accessories for your new dream car. If necessary, we can also deliver the vehicle to you in a closed trailer.
