So the car was sent to marque specialists Export 56 who carried out a further extensive restoration which included cutting out lots of rust from the underside of the car and replacing with new metal including new floors, front and rear closing panels, battery floor, longitudinal sections both sides, heater pipes and outer sills to ensure that there was no rust present whatsoever. A 134 page document accompanies the car which photographically details this process in full and the result is simply outstanding. Now a genuinely rust free example which looks glorious and is running a driving beautifully. A full interior re trim was carried out to a very high standard, including new period correct carpets, headlining and door cards. The brakes have been overhauled and new fuel and brake lines fitted along with a full suspension overhaul, new shocks, wheels refurbished and correct Michelin tyres fitted. All the original brightwork has been re chromed and is looking superb. The car now displays an indicated mileage of 58,000 miles and although unwarranted is thought to be genuine.
