In October 1958, this car with today's color scheme No.: 5704 was brought to New York via the world-famous Porsche dealer Max Hoffmann, then delivered to the east coast of the USA and later to California, where its further path can no longer be reconstructed. The vehicle only appeared again in the 1970s. It was owned by a doctor who then sold it to an airline pilot.
The 356 was finally discovered and purchased in Hollywood in 1995 by the current owner.
It was then imported by him in 1997 and reworked but never completely dismantled and restored.
The engine was overhauled and revised. The performance increased from 60 to 75 hp. The underbody was ice blasted and repainted at that time. Since then, the 356 has always been registered in Germany. Last Classic Data report grade 1
