The 997.1 series met resistance on its unfortunately notoriously well-known problematic IMS bearings – and here Hartech enters the picture. Hartech is a family-owned company with 36+ years of experience in Porsche engine rebuilding, maintenance and service within the motorsport-industry. The company is located in Bolton, UK.
Our 997 S went on a visit to Hartech in August 2016. Here the car went through a comprehensive overhaul. The engine was lifted out of the body, completely dismantled and rebuilt for approximately EUR 12.000 – all bills and job description is available.
We have known this car since 2013 when we came across it in Stuttgart. The car was initially delivered from new to Porsche Zentrum Karlsruhe and was used as an internal car. From here the car lived with two different owners in Germany.
We then delivered the car to the car’s first and only Danish owner, who has taken care of the car ever since – the above mentioned visit to Hartech and consistently authorized Porsche history certainly substantiate this.
This car has a particularly linear push and a solid sound due to it’s healthy history and optimization process courtesy of Hartech.
With the car comes the original service booklet, complete overview of Hartech engine rebuild from 2016 as well as the two original keys.
