With the introduction of the Porsche 991 in 2011 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Stuttgart sports car manufacturer presented the seventh generation of the legendary 911. As the direct successor to the 997, the 991 marked a comprehensive technical and conceptual development. It was only the third completely new platform since the original model from 1963 and brought with it numerous improvements in design, driving dynamics and efficiency.
