The paintwork is in stunning condition throughout, featuring consistent panel fitment and precise gap alignment. The exterior showcases original glass, beautiful brightwork, rubber seals, and aluminum trim. The aluminum Targa bar is in great shape, and the Targa top sits evenly and has a tight seal. The cabin is upholstered with Blue leather to sample and contrasts well against its black vinyl surfaces. This 911S is equipped with factory sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with a deluxe butterfly horn ring, VDO instrumentation, and has been upgraded with a PCCM Porsche stereo head unit with Apple CarPlay. The undercarriage is incredibly straight and in pristine condition. Refinished Fuch alloy wheels are mounted to Michelin XWX 185 70 VR15 tires.
In accordance with the paperwork on file, this 911S was driven quite regularly and has a phenomenal service history. On May 8, 2001, at 118,935 miles, Aase Motors Inc. in Fullerton, California, was commissioned to perform a complete engine rebuild to factory specification, and the Carrera chain tensioner upgrade was installed. Following the engine rebuild, the transmission was completely rebuilt by Jim Privett Motorsports with all new gaskets, 1st & 2nd gear dog teeth, and a torque bias differential. In 2012 this 911S was sourced by Andy Cohen of Beverly Hills Motoring Accessories and sold to Mr. Witz. In 2014, Coachcraft in Fillmore, California, was commissioned to overhaul and restore the undercarriage using factory finishes, CAD plating, and powder coating where necessary. In 2022, N.A.R.W. in Reseda, California, was commissioned to replace valve cover gaskets and the rear shock absorbers with new shock mounts, and the MFI pump was rebuilt. Most recently, this 911S was sent to Porsche of Colorado Springs and was thoroughly inspected, only requiring the replacement of soft fuel lines, and a brake fluid flush was performed.
It is powered by its original 2.4-liter flat-six engine producing 190hp and is paired with its matching 5-speed manual transmission (type 915) with four-wheel disc brakes. Complete with owner’s manual, spare key, Certificate of Authenticity, Porsche Classic tool kit, and 24 years of service history. A very rare opportunity to acquire the last of the long-hood series offered with its original driveline and finished in its factory color combination.
