This Porsche was built in 1981 as a 944 test and pre-production model and still has its original engine. A Porsche certificate provides information about its origins. The car is in really good collector's condition.
This Porsche is really something for fans of the brand and especially the Trans-Axle models. As number 462 of 500 Porsche 944 pre-production models, built based on the 924, you can still see that the car is a prototype. According to Porsche, there are still 176 units worldwide. It was delivered in Germany. The history is documented in a large folder and is available, as is the original operating manual.
The body with the pre-series bumpers is in good shape. The interior with the incredibly cool Pascha interior is practically as good as new. The underbody is as good as the appearance from above would suggest. Everywhere you can see details that differ from the later models. A full 30% of the parts were not used for the series. This makes it a very special model and one worth collecting. Technically and visually everything is tip top. And it also looks extremely good and super cool.
If you are looking for a very special vehicle from the Porsche Trans-Axle history, please take a look at this collector's vehicle. It is available for viewing in my hall in Hamburg and for test drives by appointment when the weather is nice.
