Porsche 996 is the internal model name for the Porsche 911 model that was manufactured and sold in the period from 1997 to 2005

Porsche 996 differed significantly from previous models by having a water-cooled engine

Among other major changes compared to the predecessor were a completely new platform with a slimmer body with a more sloping windshield and a redesigned interior together with the new “fried egg lights”

In 2000 Porsche came with a 996 turbo model which was equipped with a 3.6 L turbo engine with 420 hp.
