The underbody is untouched and was sealed to a high standard in 2023.
With the well-preserved interior, including the original carpet, VDO wooden steering wheel, two-part Blaupunkt radio, the original instruments and the original seats, it is a true contemporary witness – cared for for almost 57 years and thus aged with dignity.
Origin, ownership, special features:
The car was a first US delivery in sunny California and was purchased by the current owner in 2015, rust-free and accident-free. After the first few years with extensive detailing of paint, seals and numerous details, with the best possible care and maintenance, the standard 90 hp 4-cylinder engine of the 912 was replaced by a 2.2 liter 6-cylinder Porsche 911 engine in the summer of 2021. A contemporary conversion, which was carried out with TÜV report and H-license plate – modification approval.
The engine was previously completely rebuilt according to "S specification" with aluminum cylinders/pistons, optimized camshaft, overhauled carburettors, new timing chain and many other parts.
In addition, stronger stabilizers were installed on the front axle, PU-mounted axle swing arms at the rear and the brake system was completely overhauled with new parts.
To complete the contemporary conversion to the 911, unrestored, original 6 x 15 Fuchs rims with new classic Michelin tires were mounted to match the vehicle image – the total amount invested in the years 21-24 alone is demonstrably more than TEUR 60.
In accordance with Section 21 of the StVZO, a TÜV change approval for the conversion to the 911 was carried out on July 7, 21 and the ABE was issued. The entry in the vehicle registration document was made on July 28, 2021. Numerous documents and receipts can be viewed on site.
Since then, the vehicle has covered around 8,000 km.
