The vehicle was lovingly reworked in Germany while preserving its original condition. The original engine received an extensive overhaul. In this context, the engine was equipped with pistons and cylinders as well as camshafts, etc. from the 911 S. The mechanical injection pump was also overhauled and adjusted to 911 S specification. Other wear parts (steering, chassis, brakes) were also revised. The vehicle substructure was blasted with dry ice and visually restored to its delivery condition. It is a completely untouched vehicle in a first-class condition, largely in its original paint. A Classic Data report is available. This vehicle is the so-called “oil flap version”. Only in the 1972 model year was the Porsche 911 equipped with an oil filler neck that was accessible from the outside. The major confusion with the tank filler neck resulted in a quick change to this design. A total of only 2,921 examples were manufactured in the MFI 2.4 variant.
