This is one of the last Porsche 911s built from the so-called F model series. Still almost completely in its original condition, with a complete history, this vehicle leaves an overall impression that is inspiring. Finding a 911 from this period with its original service booklet is already rare. A consistently maintained checkbook and a maintenance history like this one is a particular rarity.
Visually, the combination of the exterior color in light ivory and the sports seats with a center panel in a black/white Pepita pattern is classic and timelessly elegant in this very late vehicle from the 1973 model year (EZ 11/1972). The comfort seats originally installed at the factory are also available. The last and most powerful engine in this series was also the basis for the legendary 911 2.7 Carrera RS. Even today, the 190 hp and low weight of the top model promise pure driving pleasure. Having been owned by the family for many years, the Targa has been in Bergamo since delivery and, according to the documents, only changed hands once within the family until 2007. Almost all services were carried out at the Bergamo Porsche Center until the car came to Bavaria and recorded in the service book.
The details of the 2.4 S are in a fascinatingly good and largely unrestored original condition. There is no evidence of previous damage and the bodywork was not affected due to the salt-free region in which it was driven. Only the outer skin of the vehicle was painted in the original color. The interior areas still retain the original paint as far as can be seen and have a wonderfully patinated character that only a few vehicles of this era exude.
The statement from our Porsche specialist and the maintenance company confirms that this example has no visible welding or body work. The underbody is as dry as it seems possible given its age – so the engine obviously never had to be opened. All maintenance was carried out regularly.
It seems unbelievable that the low mileage of only 141,000 km can be traced through the service book and the change of ownership. The condition impresses with its originality and degree of preservation. This unique and irretrievable condition creates a rare opportunity for lovers of true-to-the-original vehicles. The complete history includes the number of previous owners with name, address and holding period. The current owner, an entrepreneur and collector from southern Germany, acquired the vehicle in 2007 and in 2019 we were able to sell the 911 to one of our customers, who has now decided to give the car back for personal reasons.
The vehicle is one of the few examples of a 50-year-old 911 in an unrestored original condition that has survived the test of time undamaged thanks to special care. All factory badges and stickers, the original underbody protection, locks, windows and add-on parts reflect the charm of this authentic survivor, which can no longer be restored today.
The car was serviced as part of a major inspection before the last handover and will be handed over by us after another inspection with a current general inspection.
In addition to the original checkbook from 1972, the on-board folder and tools are also still part of the vehicle, as are the historical certificates and documents from the previous owners.
