This Porsche 993 Turbo was delivered new in France in 1997 by the Porsche Center Lyon and displays only 72 000 km. It has known three owners since it came into circulation. It is in a livery Gray Artic interior with full leather in blue.
The 993 Turbo retains a reliable and robust mechanical base while providing some innovations, including a double turbocharger boost, a first on a standard car. The turbocharger pressure KKK reaches the maximum value of 0.8 bar. The volumetric ratio is 8.0: 1. Managed integrally by a Bosch Motronic M5.2 injection, the Flat 6 develops the power of 408 hp at 5750 rpm for a torque of 540 Nm at 4500 rpm, of which 80% are available from 2600 to 6000 rpm. The remarkable performance of this engine is 113 hp / L and 150 Nm / L. Later, this power will still evolve in the form of an engine kit, 430 horsepower and torque 59 Mkg.
The four-wheel drive is via a new six-speed dual-cone gearbox on the first two gears. The hydraulically assisted clutch stroke has also been reduced.
Approaching a total weight of 1500 kg all the same, the 993 Turbo is none the less the fastest 911 series of all time. The maximum speed reaches 290 km / h! And for fans of frank acceleration, it propels you in all relaxation with its 4-wheel drive from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.5 “before crossing the 1000 m D.A. 23”. Certainly, the 911 Turbo does not beat any record of power, speed or even acceleration. But thanks to its all-wheel drive and ease of driving, it is champion of homogeneity, versatility and “usability”, rare virtues in the realm of super sports.
