A costly car in its own right and perhaps for that reason alone an unusual donor choice – it was nonetheless selected for its already RSR-equivalent shell and superior underpinnings. Stripped and inspected with satisfying result, it represented a stellar point of departure for this project.
Treated to a Concours-level 100 point paintjob, the shell was reshaped in its new 2.8 RSR Bodywork.
Suspensionwise – the car is fitted with a KW Competition Clubsport coilover set keeping control over a set of 9 and 11 x 15s Braids fuchs wheels. The wheels are painted in gunmetal and shoed with Michelin TB5s.
Inside, the car has been treated to a new upholstery and a set of seats along with a half-cage clad in alcantara with green stitching, a color contrast combo that can also be seen elsewhere throughout the car.
Moving further back and towards the heart and soul of the car – The vehicle is propelled by a brand new Richard Chamberlain built 3.25 Litre SC engine, fitted with a GT3 Crank and a set of Schrick Central Lubrication 320 degree camshafts – it is breathing through a beautiful set of AT Power Shaftless Throttle bodies – all managed electronically by Motec. Dynoed at 316 BHP at 6400 RPM, with 300 plus brake horsepower available all the way from 5000 to 7000 RPMs – and paired with fully rebuilt close ratio G50 gearbox – The car is extremely fast at all revolutions and is sure to entertain with an intoxicating intake noise.
Arriving straight from a very successful initial 1000 Mile Shakedown – save for a few stonechips courtesy of the very sticky Michelin tyres – the car is ready to be enjoyed.
A car both to look at and to drive – that is sure to create unforgettable memories for its new lucky owner.
The car is currently Norwegian registered and is a non EU taxes paid car.
