The range-topping 996 GT2 was effectively a wide-body GT3 with a factory tuned, twin-turbo charged Mezker engine delivering 455bhp to the rear wheels via a six speed manual transmission. Known for being exciting and edgy while not as utterly lethal as the 993 that came before, these cars offer an amazing all round package with plenty of power, a genuinely analogue driving experience, and, in this car’s case, a more usable interior speciation in the guise of Comfort spec. The suspension is same as the GT3, being fully adjustable.
This car is like-new inside and out, finished in the menacing colour combination of Basalt Black over black leather. It also has a lovely service history file and benefits from a recent service and health check at Porsche Service Centre Brooklands.
We have never seen a GT2 with such low mileage and believe this could be the one to own for anyone looking to add Porsche’s answer to the ultimate GT car question to their collection.
