How black do you want your Porsche? It’s not for nothing that this color is so popular among 911 owners. Black makes the iconic Elfer elegant and extremely suitable for daily use, especially when we compare it with sports cars from the same or comparable class. Some dismiss a shade like this as ‘boring’, but ironically the Porsche 991 Carrera 4S Cabriolet is extra exciting in an “All-Black” configuration. In this case, including the 20 inch black Carrera S wheels. Behind it are bright red brake calipers that are in unison with the rear light units including a wide LED bar in between. Nowadays we don’t see anything else on a 911, but the connection between the rear lights used to be the trademark of the 4S.
Hood on or hood off, it makes no difference to the color scheme:
Interior
Sink into the black leather sports seats and immediately experience the wonderful feeling of a pure sports car. Sitting in the Porsche 911 4S Cabriolet becomes even more addictive in view of the stopwatch that has taken a prominent position atop the black leather dashboard. Those who want to sharpen the lap time will regularly take a look at the clock with the black background. This also applies to the instruments behind the black leather steering wheel – including beautiful aluminum spokes. Oil pressure + temperature, speed, rpm, PDK position, fuel and coolant gauge: it’s all printed on a black background. In 5 characteristic tubes that is!
Options & extras
Porsche is synonymous with sportiness. It is therefore logical that all terms starting with “sport” are chosen for an icon such as the 911. Sport Chrono Pack, Sport seats, Sport exhaust; it’s all on, in and under. In addition, the seats are heated and have a memory function for maximum comfort. Also comfortable are the Cruise Control, HomeLink garage door opener and Park Assist front + rear. And then there is a whole bunch of abbreviations present on the 991 Cabriolet: PCM (Porsche Communication Management) including navigation, PDLS (Porsche Dynamic Light System) with dynamic cornering lights as part of the Bi-xenon headlights, as well as PTV + (Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus) and PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management) can be ticked off. How exciting are the 2 fold-out cup holders above the glove compartment? Pretty good, because you can count on getting thirsty from all the tour trips you’re going to plan! In short, turn up Bose Surround Sound and wait for the first tunnel to come into view… Then the sports exhaust lovingly takes over the ear-pleasing sound experience!
Technology & performance
In the back there is 400 hp of character hidden, ready to convert the 3.8 liter boxer capacity into a 0-100 km / h sprint within 4.5 seconds. The blazingly fast PDK transmission makes every shift moment as seamless as it is explosive. The 6-cylinder rumbles through its 7 gears to a top speed of 294 km/h. However, to fully enjoy the turbo-free roar and great handling of the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S Cabriolet, it is not necessary to go that far. On the other hand, it is fun. And if the grip of four-wheel drive is still there… Why not?
Sincerely,
Prince Esclusivo.
