Compared to a contemporary 964 Carrera, the Turbo model features wider fenders, bumpers, and dual exhaust outlets as well as a characteristic “Tea Tray” rear spoiler. This example is finished in Guards Red and includes European (RoW) side marker lights, a rear window wiper, an electric sunroof, and factory 17” Cup wheels dressed in newer Michelin tires. The seller adds that the inner fuel door is personally signed by Walter Röhrl, the senior test driver for Porsche’s road cars and one of the most celebrated names in rally racing history.
The cabin is appointed with black leather including optional heated and power-operated Sport Seats. A modern Porsche Classic (PCCM) stereo has been installed and factory features include air conditioning, power windows and mirrors, central locking, cruise control, cassette storage, and a tachometer-integrated digital computer display. Power comes from a turbocharged and intercooled 3.3-liter flat-six engine paired with a 5-speed G50 manual gearbox that drives the rear wheels. The optional X33 powerkit includes enlarged inlet and exhaust ports, modified camshafts, a revised intake manifold, and specialized valve timing for an output of 355 HP compared to the standard 964 Turbo engine’s 320 HP. This example was also equipped with an optional lowered suspension (X36) from the factory.
