Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS

The basic 911 is already a sports car, the GT3 is the even purer variant and the RS (Renn Sport) is driving in its purest form, this GT3 RS, the facelift model of the 997. This is a race car with public road approval . away, not the other way around! To increase the safety and torsional rigidity of the body, Porsche omitted the rear seat and installed a roll cage. The GT3 comes standard with the 44mm wider body of the Carrera 4 and the Turbo, for the GT3 RS the track width has also been widened by 26mm. RS specific modifications include the plexiglass rear window, titanium exhaust system, lighter flywheel, different lower front bumper, different gear ratios and a larger rear spoiler. The total weight is only 1345 kg, the 3.8 engine delivers 450 hp and thus ensures a weight/power ratio of 2.99 kg per hp! All this ensures an acceleration of 0-100 in 4.0 sec! The Porsche RS story started with the legendary RS from 1972, in this car its character lives on – it is newer, much faster and safer but without losing the original RS feeling.
