Exterior
There are few cars as characteristic as the Porsche 911. The 991 is yet another evolution on the successful concept that dates from 1963 (or 1948, when we include the ancestor of the ‘Elfer’, the 356). If we look at the crazy looks of this Targa 4 GTS, we realize once again how great it is that the design has been going on for so long and still impresses.
We are positively surprised by the – according to Porsche standards – bold, but super flavorful gear. The chalk-white lacquer has only recently become available on the model, and makes the semi-open top athlete beautiful. The Targa bracket and type designation have remained black (standard on the GTS), which creates a beautiful contrast. The 20 inch black Turbo S rims including central wheel nut get the same ‘trick’. However, perhaps even more impressive is what lies behind: extra large (410 mm for & 390 mm rear) ceramic brake discs à la Turbo S. Thanks to the considerable size of the rims, the yellow brake calipers are also easy to see. We can see it worse …
Interior & equipment
What makes the ‘Kreide’ exterior even more desirable? The fact that it is combined with an Espresso natural leather interior including this steering column (optional). The beautiful cockpit gets optical reinforcement of a Porsche weapon in the headrests, a GTS logo in the center armrest and a wonderfully in-hand GT sports steering wheel.
A chic outfit is of course chic. Also in that area nothing to complain about: driver and passenger are more than comfortable with the optional Adaptive sports seats Plus. The seats also contain a heating, ventilation and memory function. Furthermore, there is a Burmester® High-end Surround Sound System, Light Design package, rear view camera, garage door opener, Blind Spot Assist, front-rear parking assistance, Porsche Dynamics Light System Plus (including LED headlights), a lift system and Porsche Entry & Drive. .
Technology & performance
But what is luxury without performance? The 6-cylinder boxer with dual turbo has 450 horsepower available, and is thus able to go beyond 100 km / h from standstill within 3.7 seconds. The PDK transmission and four-wheel drive make it possible to transfer all power seamlessly and effortlessly onto the asphalt. Up to 306 km / h. But the real power of this special 911 lies in the connection between 55 years of solidity and infinite beauty.
Yours faithfully,
